Who said it?

During our project week on the topic of Diversity, the English workshop was all about interactivity. Quotes from famous people where hung up on the whiteboard. The participants had to choose between two prominent people who have fought and still fight for society’s diversity and equality and guess who the quote stems from. The participants marked their choice with a small sticker. After guessing, the solution could be seen on the back of the pictures.

„If we cannot now end our differences, at least we can help make the world safe for diversity.“ John F. Kennedy

„Our diversity is our strength. What a dull and pointless life it would be if everyone was the same.“ Angelina Jolie

Politicians like Angela Merkel, John F. Kennedy and Condoloeezza Rice, celebrities like Cate Blanchett, Oprah Winfrey and Angelina Jolie, scientist Gloria Steinem and her colleague Steven Pirker and even sport idols like Mario Balotelli are constantly fighting against racism and discrimination. Human rights acivists Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks and Malcolm X have dedicated their lives to end racial inequality and their actions made history.

The battle for equality and for a world, where diversity strives and is protected, goes on. Let us all vouch for it together! 😊
